Doch trotz ihrer unbezahlbaren \u00f6kologischen, \u00f6konomischen und gesellschaftlichen Vorteile und ihrer Bedeutung f\u00fcr das Weltklima, schreitet die Rodung der W\u00e4lder weltweit erschreckend voran. Diese Zerst\u00f6rung ist nicht nur eine Bedrohung f\u00fcr den Artenreichtum der Tier- und Pflanzenwelt, sondern stellt auch den Menschen vor gro\u00dfe Probleme.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; font-size: small; color: #000000;\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; font-size: small; color: #000000;\">Als bedeutendstes \u00d6kosystem und Klimaregulator stellt das Jane Goodall Institut-Austria den Wald in den Mittelpunkt der Kampagne \u201eZusammenWachsen\u201c, die sich auf den internationalen Tag des Waldes am 21. M\u00e4rzbezieht, und ermutigte dazu ein Zeichen gegen die Waldzerst\u00f6rung zu setzen! Auch die PTS Laa an der Thayafolgte dem Aufruf und rief unter der Leitung von Jennifer Schmucker ein Projekt &#8211; in Kooperation mit den 3. und 4. Klassen der Volksschule Laa an der Thaya &#8211; am 23. M\u00e4rz ins Leben.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; font-size: small; color: #000000;\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Calibri, sans-serif; font-size: small; color: #000000;\">Die Arbeit der Sch\u00fclerInnen verhalf ihnen ihr theoretisches Wissen \u00fcber Umweltschutz zu erweitern und praktische Umsetzungsm\u00f6glichkeiten kennenzulernen. Sie trug nicht nur zum tats\u00e4chlichen \u201eZusammenWachsen\u201c des Regenwaldes und so zum Klimaschutz, sondern auch zum &#8222;ZusammenWachsen&#8220; der Klassengemeinschaft sowie der verschiedenen Altergruppen, bei. Die Volksschulkinder bekamen einen Einblick in die aktuelle Situation der W\u00e4lder \u00d6sterreichs und der Welt und durften selbst ihr Wissen an verschiedenen Stationen unter Beweis stellen. Alle zur Verf\u00fcgung gestellten Materialien wurden von den Sch\u00fcler\/innen der PTS selbst entwickelt und ausgef\u00fchrt. Begeistert davon zeigten sich Sch\u00fcler\/innen, als auch Lehrer\/innen, von dieser Kooperation. F\u00fcr ein Foto der durchgef\u00fchrten Aktion wurden f\u00fcnf B\u00e4ume f\u00fcr das Wiederaufforstungsprojekt des Jane Goodall Instituts in Uganda gespendet. Stolz zeigten sich alle Mitwirkenden, einen wichtigen Schritt gegen die Waldrodung get\u00e4tigt zu haben, denn ein Sprichwort aus Uganda besagt &#8222;Die beste Zeit, einen Baum zu pflanzen, war vor zwanzig Jahren.
